Tuesday 2nd June
71st Day and 10th week of lockdown…When I actually think about this for too long I find it so surreal how quickly we’ve all just settled in to this new way of living.
Wednesday 3rd June
Nancy went back to school today her first day since lockdown she was so flipping excited I must admit I’m feeling a little torn, I know several people are opting not to send their kids back, which is absolutely their right, but Nancy was so desperate to go that we decided to let her try it out and see how she got on.
Thursday 4th June
First day back was so successful she is so happy to be back with all of her friends! Been really feeling sorry for Frank who is stuck at home on his own (he actually is like a pig in shit, but like all parents I have that continuous worry!!) So I’ve been setting him up with a WhatsApp video call with 2 of his mates so they can talk whilst playing Minecraft together. It is absolutely hilarious listening to them chitter chatter about the worlds that they are creating together!
Friday 5th June
Still working on the website, still wanting to tear my hair out….
Saturday 6th June
Can’t really say what happened today but when I checked over my notes for the day I had written “quick mum, she’s stabbing me” followed by ‘Mum, Nancy is trying to cut my head off’ Enough said really!
Sunday 7th June
Did a cheeky morning zoom quiz with the Grizzles – I was quiz master it was so much fun I chucked in some riddles and my sister went and got a saxophone mid way through to mime along with George Micheal’s classic careless whisper – classic big grizz!
Monday 8th June
It was my Grandma’s 86th Birthday today so I went over to hers with Frank and Darcy to wish her a socially distanced happy birthday from her garden. It was so lovely we haven’t seen her for 12 weeks. Whenever I go and see her though she always sends me away with something, it is usually something quite obscure and strange, todays offering was no different – 3 teapots one in the shape of toucan! God I love that woman!
